P.A. HAAXMAN

Painter, watercolorist and draughtsman in the romantic tradition. Haaxman's subjects were history and genre paintings, often with beautiful landscape backgrounds but also river scenes and portraits. In Delft he taught drawing and was known as a very good craftsman. His work is characterized by beautiful details and a soft color palette.
