Over N. (NARCISSE) DIAZ DE LA PEÑA
Diaz de la Peña was a French painter of Spanish descent. He was a painter of the Barbizon School and preferred to paint in the Fontainebleau area. He regularly exhibited his work, especially in the Salon de Paris and was very successful in doing so. In 1881, he was posthumously honored with an appointment to the French Légion d'Honneur.
