M. (MARCEL) MANGIN

Marcel Mangin, along with Paul Signac and Francois Millet, among others, was a member of the "Peintres de la Manche" or painters along "The Channel" on the French coast. Born and raised in Cherbourg, he was inspired by the coast and the landscapes surrounding him. He is known for his drawings and watercolors. For the "Musée de l'école des Ponts et Chaussees" he commissioned several murals. Later he developed into an "Orientalist".
